Python belongs to a Very High-Level Category of Languages(VHLL), which also Includes Languages like Ruby if I am not mistaken.

    Dear Joshua,
Python is a high-level programming language. Some other common examples of high-level programming languages are Fortran, Java, JavaScript, C#, MATLAB, Go, Ruby, Perl etc.
C/C++ can also be referred to as high-level languages but because they support intermediate level programming too i.e. you can include low level intrinsics in a C/C++ application, they are often referred to as intermediate level programming language.

    Hope that helps -:D
