    Good day, i have a problem when i call the gedit function: when i call it, the related windows appears distorted and i can’t write anything… do you know i can solve this? Thanks in advance

    Hi Alfio,
    It seems to be an issue with the installation or the OS. Are you using Linux or WSL?
    You can also edit the required files using the nano command from the command line. THis will open the editor in the command line itself, and not in a separate window.

      Hi Rahul, I’m using the wsl but with your suggest (by using nano) it seems ok! Thanks!

        Hi Alfio,
        WSL does not have the capability to launch GUI based linux apps like gedit, paraview, gnuplot etc from the command line. To use these apps when using WSL, you can download the corresponding Windows apps and open the files through the app.
