    The graph for the equation S=4-5t^3 is shown as a downward sloping curve in the first quadrant.

    for the first value of T=0 S will be 4

    for next value t=1 S will be -1.

    So the does the curve not cross the T axis and goes into the fourth quadrant?

    Hi, Yes but the only aim to treat a source term is to linearize it. Because we are linearizing the PDE using FVM methods, similarly the source term also needs to be linearized for the convergence.
