I am currently doing the snappyHexMesh Assignment.
I use the Windows WSL to do my work in OpenFOAM.
So my doubt is that how to copy the cylinder File into the triSurface folder? That too from my C drive.
Moreover should we need to unzip the file before copying it?

My other doubt is that in Internal mesh, should we mesh the Inside of the cylinder?

and a final doubt is that whether there is a way to copy a tutorial case with a different name?

    Hi Adityan,

First, thank you for your question.

I didnt use before windows installation. However, You should open manually the folder I think. Then you can copy.

Yes, before copying you have to unzip it. Otherwise, snappy utility cannot read it.

Yeah, homework includes 2 parts. In one part, you should mesh around of cylinder like a mesh of external flow simulations. In the second part, you have to mesh inside of cylinder like a mesh of internal flow simulation. To do these, you have to play only with the option “locationInMesh” I think this is clear.

Regarding the last question. Of course, you can change the tutorial name after copying under the “run” folder. just use for example :
    mv motorBike adityan_case

I hope these address your questions.

If you have still questions please let us know.

    Best.

    Barış
